Dear Nashport Families,
Our students will be participating in a Walk-a-Thon Friday, May 16th, 2025. Each class will walk for a specific amount of time and will complete as many laps as possible. During the walk, your child will also be offered healthy snacks and enjoy music while walking. It is a fun day for all students and staff!
The funds raised at this year’s Walk-a-Thon will go toward several events at Nashport Elementary. Super Games will be coming to Nashport for field day in May along with several assemblies and assistance for class field trips. We will also be purchasing items for students throughout the year.
Enclosed is a pledge sheet for your child to record their pledges from family members, friends and neighbors. There will be individual student prizes for different levels of pledges, as well as prizes for classrooms that collect the most pledges and have 100% participation.

Do you know a local company that will make a donation to our Walk-a-Thon? If so, your student will receive credit toward prizes for their community partner donations! Local businesses donating $100.00 or more will be recognized on our shirts, banners and webpage. Please refer to the community partner letter that is coming home with your packet.
Please return your child’s pledge sheet and money envelope with the completed label by Wednesday, April 23rd, so they can select their prizes! Remember to make all checks payable to NASHPORT PTO. We can NOT split checks with multiple students. Every student must have their own check. Please note the total donation from the business/individual on each check. Example: One check for $50 for Sam from Dollar General and one check for $50 for Joe from Dollar General with a note on the bottom left of the check that reads ‘total donation $100.’ We will make sure your business receives credit for their $100+ donation.

Parents/Guardians of intra or open enrolled students are required to submit an Intra-District or Open Enrollment Application for each school-aged child, annually. Applications can be acquired by clicking on the appropriate link provided below. Notification of your child's status will be sent to you in writing by mid-July.
